The Walmart closest to my house has one, as well as the Lowe’s next door. I think it was meant to deter high schoolers from fighting in the parking lots though, because that was the only thing to do when I was in high school.My work, not a Top Target That One Arrow That Just Hates You Vintage Shirt, has a tiny police station built into the end of our small row of offices. We are in a kind of shitty neighborhood. However, the police are there due to one particular crack house on the corner. It seems to be a big flophouse that some slum lord rents out. Guys drinking and hanging out in the street all day. Frequent ambulance and police calls. So I think our office landlord just gave the police some free office space directly across the street. Reminds me of the court and jail inside Veteran’s Stadium. We had that at one time in our local Walmart. I guess one side or the other gave up on it though. It’s a storage area now.
