That poor guy who gets his heart ripped out by Thugees and sent into the lava in Temple of Doom always got me as a Nice The Utah Jazz 46th Anniversary 1974 2020 Thank You For The Memories Shirt. Still pretty memorable. They made the PG-13 rating because of that and Gremlins.Jaws was also PG. The most notable scene for me was when Brody finds the decaying corpse of that woman popping up in the surf with a big chunk missing.100percent agree and glad you mentioned this. I’ve got a kid now and was scanning for some PG MOVIES and came across this one and wtf. No, I didn’t let him watch it. She thinks it’s hilarious.
I absolutely love Indiana Jones, but I generally avoid Temple of Doom because of it, and whenever I do end up watching it, I make sure to skip that scene. I haven’t seen it since the Nice The Utah Jazz 46th Anniversary 1974 2020 Thank You For The Memories Shirt. It wrecked me as a kid. I watched that exact scene when I was about 8. Scared me off Indiana Jones movies for life. My mom was so mad at her cousins for playing that movie where little kids could see it (there were kids younger than me watching too). The heart scene surprisingly didn’t bother me too much (for a 9-year-old); the melting scene in Raiders of the lost ark scared me way more.
